The Exporter Behind Guji Coffee Ethiopia
Who we are, where we source, and how we operate as a Guji-focused specialty green coffee exporter based in Addis Ababa.
Who We Are
A Guji-Focused Specialty Coffee Exporter
Guji Coffee Ethiopia is a specialty green coffee exporter founded in 2023 and based in Addis Ababa. We source high-altitude Arabica from the Guji Zone — Uraga, Hambela and Shakiso — and supply roasters and importers worldwide with traceable, cup-consistent green coffee.
Our work sits between the farm and the port. We buy from smallholder farmers, washing stations and cooperatives across the Guji Zone through both the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange and direct trade relationships, then take responsibility for grading, dry mill preparation, documentation and shipment out of Djibouti.
Because we concentrate on one origin rather than trading every Ethiopian region, we can speak to the differences between a 2,300 metre Uraga washed lot and a Hambela natural in specific terms — elevation, soil, processing, harvest timing and cup character — and match buyers to the lots that actually fit their programme.

How We Operate
What We Handle as an Exporter
Four areas define our day-to-day work between the Guji highlands and your destination port.
Origin Footprint
Sourcing concentrated in Uraga, Hambela and Shakiso — three Guji districts with distinct elevations, soils and cup signatures.
Smallholder Network
Relationships with smallholder farmers, washing stations and cooperatives across the Guji Zone rather than a single estate.
Quality Discipline
Lots evaluated to SCA cupping protocol with defect counting and moisture analysis before any export approval is given.
Export Execution
Dry mill preparation and documentation handled in Addis Ababa, with shipment routed through the Port of Djibouti.
The step-by-step commercial process — specifications, sampling, contracts, payment terms, container maths and shipping documents — is set out on our Ethiopian coffee export services page, with quality thresholds explained under grading standards and sourcing practice under sustainability and traceability.
